Week 2 Weekly Wanders August 13th: North Bull Island beach and sand dunes.
NatureCubsIreland runs weekly biodiversity trips. We explore different habitats such as rivers, canals, beaches, sand dunes, public parks. We look for animal tracks and trails and identify flowers and trees. Each Weekly Wander starts at 11.30a.m and the weekly location is advertised on the NatureCubsIreland website and Facebook page @NatureCubsIreland.
Families are very welcome and any activities that take place within these trips will be done individually or in family groups to avoid spread of Covid 19. Unfortunately only assistance dogs are allowed. Under 3s go free.
Information handouts will be given to participants about the topic of the week.
Younger children receive a NatureCubsIreland high viz jacket for safety and all children receive a NatureCubsIreland tote bag to collect craft items to do craft on NatureCubsIreland YouTube channel that week.
We will prepare a weekly YouTube video of a craft related to the Weekly Wander and provide handouts of instructions for that craft. Participants will get a password for viewing this NatureCubsIreland YouTube video.
You must purchase your ticket beforehand (see above) to ensure that we are complying with Covid 19 safe group sizes as we intend to keep the groups small. Please notify us if you cannot attend so another person can take your place. Please do not come if you or someone in your party has symptoms of Covid 19 or feels unwell. Please bring hand sanitiser and adhere to good Covid 19 safety etiquette.
We will send you an email each week notifying you of where we are going and directions.
A small weekly fee is incurred to cover fuel, handouts, YouTube video and time spent preparing the weekly trip.
If we receive lots of interest, we run a number of Weekly Wanders in a single week to allow for small group sizes.
